Falling Waters State Park, Florida

When we went camping a few weeks ago, we stayed at Falling Waters State Park. It is home to Florida’s highest waterfall. Standing at 73 feet, the waterfall flows into a sinkhole. The waterfall had more water than we expected due to the crazy rain we have been having in the Florida Panhandle. The waterfall ranges from completely dry to a moderate flow but is usually a trickle.

That’s interesting to see a waterfall falls into a sinkhole. Neat picture!

I love visiting sink holes, I’ve been to a couple in Mexico. They are just too fun!

Kids and waterfalls are a great combination. Loved the view from above.
that is SO cool! i never heard of that.
Waterfalls make the best photo subjects. Here in the Midwest we are blessed with lots of falls. Ohio has Hocking Hills. Michigan has the Upper Peninsula. Wisconsin and Minnesota have the coasts of lake Superior and more.
I never thought of Florida as having waterfalls, so this was interesting to see.
As Tim says, we have a lot of waterfalls in the Midwest…and we love taking photos of them!
