Dreaming of Brazil

Today, I am dreaming of Brazil.  My husband and I got back from our separate trips yesterday.  I have spent the past 10 days on a road trip with my two kids…sounds glamourous right?  Ha! Then you hear that my husband just got back from a guy’s trip to Brazil.  I am a tad bit green with envy because we spent last evening sharing pictures.  Mine of the Mayfield Dairy (which was a blast by the way) and my husband’s of the beautiful swirling ocean.  The next few weeks, I will be posting about the different activities that we both loved on our trips but today I leave you with the pictures that have me ready to buy a plane ticket to Brazil.

OH!! I wanna go with you on your dream trip. You are so nice to let him go by himself. 🙂

I’d be dreaming of the ways that my husband owed me! Swell photos though. I hope your dream is realized.

Rio is tops on my list! I’d have to work out like crazy first before I go to Brazil. Don’t want to be competing with all the hot bodies in Ipanema 🙂

Jen-Too funny! When my husband got home the first thing I asked him about were the beaches!

I spent six weeks there in college. Now that I have a young son (age five) I thought I’d brush up on my Portuguese, sign him up for soccer and see what happens! Maybe by the Olympics…

In any case, don’t just go to Rio when you travel there. Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, a small town with beautiful architecture outside of Belo Horizonte (like New York) was one of all of our favorite places. (Moor Over Parador was filmed there.) And Salvador, Bahia, the original capital of Brazil, is wonderful. There is so much more to Brazil than Rio. Don’t miss it!

Oh, and please post what to do with children if you go!
