My folks are in Alabama too and I know what you mean because we are always excited when we get to see snow. Just so you know, in Atlanta, they are doing something called Snow Mountain this year where they have tons of fake snow on the mountain with sledding and all sorts of cool games. It looks really fun and we wanted to do it when we were up there for Christmas but didn’t have the chance.

There is something that kids love about snow, or perhaps it brings out the inner kid in us all. I’m generaly a sun worshiper so I quite like the idea that you can have the best of both in one day.

We’re still just experiencing flurries here in the Detroit area, although it’s been cold, cold, cold the past few days!

Ha! As someone who’s always lived in relatively mild winter climates, I say bravo for man-made snow. It’s like the best of both worlds! I don’t know if they still do it, but there used to be an outdoor ice skating rink in San Diego. Occasionally you’d see someone out there in shorts.

Our city trucks in snow once a year for the kids to play in too. Its so much fun for those of us who don’t have to deal with it every day.

Aww.. Look at how happy he was playing in the snow – man made or not. Even here in Atlanta, it’s not often that we will see snow either. So we have to drive up to Tennessee or North Carolina for some snow in the mountain.

Haha, I love that they make snow. As Canadians, we are always trying to get away from the snow and that is why we are in India:) I wish that I had some air conditioner now. It is so hot here and we can’t escape the heat. My skin is burnt and I just want to sit inside a cool place. Ahhh, the grass is always greener eh?!
