Fun to see it in snow! Fresh snow is cool & brings the kid out in folks.

We even got a tiny bit of snow here in southern Spain this winter (for about 20 minutes before the sun returned) and that was really a thrill! A very rare & almost unheard of event.

We do have skiing in the mountains nearby, but mostly our winters here are T-shirt weather & sunny.

It looks a lot quieter and more mysterious with the snow, I'm imagining that in fairer weather it would be more crowded to visit.

I have wanted to go here! What a great place to take kids. I look forward to your write up and love the pictures. I can't imagine life in the snow, let alone without central heat!

We visited Williamsburg at the height of summer humidity! They do a great job casting the re-enactors. Our kids asked lots of questions and they always stayed in their roles. What a contrast this is. I can only imagine how the founders felt in the depths of winter snow without central heat!

I'm in Bangkok so I'm not sick of snow at all. These are beautiful shots of a lovely light snow that doesn't look like it's stopping anyone from going to work or school!

I share your sentiment, there is indeed something fascinating about snow and it's especially fun to hear the exclamations from children when they first see it. Now the folks on the east coast who are in a ton of snow right now may not agree (at the moment). But these particular blankets of snow look harmless enough. Great post!
