Fresh snow is cool & brings the kid out in folks. We even got a tiny bit of snow here in southern Spain this winter (for about 20 minutes before the sun returned) and that was really a thrill! A very rare & almost unheard of event. We do have skiing in the mountains nearby, but mostly our winters here are T-shirt weather & sunny. Fun to see it in snow! Fresh snow is cool & brings the kid out in folks.

They do a great job casting the re-enactors. Our kids asked lots of questions and they always stayed in their roles. What a contrast this is. Now the folks on the east coast who are in a ton of snow right now may not agree (at the moment). But these particular blankets of snow look harmless enough. Great post!
