The World is Calling…Can You Hear It? What a name for a travel site! I have told my husband several times that I feel like the world is calling me. I love that The World is Calling has all sorts of travel categories: couple travel, packing, travel with kids, travel prep, traveling with grandparents. Recently they went on a trip to Jeruselum and I can’t wait to read all about it. Some of my favorite articles:
Now it’s your turn! We would love it if you posted a link to your favorite travel article this week!
I discovered Carolina Nomad just this week and I am so excited to have found this website. As you can imagine from the name, the website concentrates on the Carolinas. Some of our favorite travel memories are from when we traveled through North Carolina. We will be traveling that way this summer and then I will be headed to Asheville for the Type A Mom conference in September. You better believe I will be heading to Carolina Nomad for some ideas! Now it is your turn! Please use Mr. Linky to post your one favorite travel article from this week!
One of the things I love about reading different travel blogs is that it can take you to a place that you have never been.
Cascadia Kids is one of those blogs that I love to read because it is about an area that I have not been yet. Cascadia Kids is a blog that concentrates mostly on the Pacific-Northwest and British Columbia. It is a great place to get family friendly information about this area. Some of my favorite articles:

Monday night, Mara over at Mother of All Trips announced on Twitter that I was the winner of her San Antonio giveaway. It includes two nights in San Antonio as well as passes to several attractions. So why am I mentioning this in my Travel Blogger Tuesday spotlight?
I have been following Wandering Off for awhile now. She lives in San Antonio and has written a ton of articles about her adventures. I love to read about a place that I have only visited briefly during cross country vacations or moves. I will be visiting her blog even more over that next month or so as we plan our trip to San Antonio. I love that she explores her hometown with as much excitement as her other travels. For Travel Blogger Tuesday this week, I am going to share with you this amazing project launch that I was lucky enough to be a part of. If you obsessively read travel blogs like I do (or just read a few favorites!), you might remember a blog tag by Tripbase that was going around for the past 8 months or so called the Best Kept Travel Secrets. We participated here at Two Kids and a Map and also at my Pensacola with Kids blog. I had so much fun following everyone’s best travel secrets on the web. I was honored to be asked to contribute my best kept travel secrets to the E-Book.
Today, they have announced the launch of the Best Kept Travel Secrets E-Book. For every FREE E-book downloaded, one dollar will be donated to Charity Water, an organization that provides the funding to build freshwater wells and clean drinking water to people in developing nations. You can also make your own Charity Water donation.

Be sure to stop by and download the book! You will be amazed the secrets that you will learn!
I’ve helped, please help too
Ok…I am a slacker. I haven’t posted a Travel Blogger Tuesday in several weeks. We will try again, but I am letting myself off the hook. I will post Travel Blogger Tuesday as often as I can but I am not going to stress!! I probably would have skipped another week but I just have to tell you about The Lollipop Road. I have been reading The Lollipop Road for a few months now and I love to read about their adventures.
Through this month, The Lollipop Road is celebrating cruising with kids. My husband and I have been cruising before but we have not been with children yet. We went to the Bahamas for four short days with two friends and had a blast. There is a reasonable priced cruise ship that sails from Mobile, which is about 45 minutes away from us so we have thought about it but just haven’t bought the cruise tickets. The Lollipop Road likes cruising with their kids. They are cruising with their kids for the entire month.
The. Entire. Month.
How cool is that?!? They are cruising three different cruise types and reporting back on them. A few of my favorite articles:
Now it is your turn! As part of Travel Blogger Tuesday, I would love for you to link your favorite travel post. Even if you don’t keep a travel blog, if you wrote about a cool place you want to tell us all about leave the link here!
I have finally created a Blogroll!!! I have so many blogs that I love to read but just haven’t gotten around to creating the blogroll. I had wanted to wait until I updated my blog look but have decided that isn’t going to happen anytime soon! So for Travel Blogger Tuesday this week, I give you my Blogroll! Please ignore the formatting of parts of my list. I can’t figure out what is going on (other than I used a table to alphabetize it) and I am too tired to continue trying to figure it out!
Let me know if I left you off! This is definitely a work in progress!

Surely we aren’t the only family that loves those photo cutouts you can find at different attractions! It isn’t me…really! My kids love the photo cutouts and jump right up and ask for their picture to be taken. As soon as they climb down, they want me to show them their picture. I thought it would be funny to find a few and post them here. They aren’t the best pictures, but they make us laugh and remember “that one time…” Be sure to stop by Debbie’s at DeliciousBaby to see where everyone is traveling today for Photo Friday!

It doesn’t have to be a cutout to grab their attention…it could just be a photo op!

Yesterday, for Monday Dreaming I linked to my guest post over at Travel Mamas. Travel Mamas is a great resource for all those traveling families out there. I love her packing lists and quick tips. Colleen is a kind person who connects personally with many of her readers. She returns emails quickly and is a great twitter buddy! Some of my favorite articles:
Romance at Disneyland – This mama knows the importance of traveling as a couple and leaving the kids at home too!
Carnival Cruise Line’s Onboard Activities for Kids - My husband and I have been on one cruise and it was pre-kids. This article points out some of the kid-friendly activities.
A Road Trip with Children Experiment: Eat While You Drive. Stop to Play - Love this! This is what we do when we road trip. We usually pack a lunch and then when we stop at a rest stop or other stopping point, the kids have time to play and are ready to hop back in the car for another 3-5 hours!
Travel Mamas has great deals too! Right now if you book through Travel Mamas, you can get a great deal on the Nickelodeon Suites Resort!
Due to internet issues, I missed the past two Travel Blogger Tuesdays but we are back with Travel with Teens and Tweens. I first met Travel with Teens and Tweens during a Photo Friday. I don’t have teenagers, but much of what she writes about can be used for all family travel. I have especially enjoyed her articles about traveling to Yellowstone with her teens. Here are some of my favorite articles:
Yellowstone – If you follow this link, you can read all of the articles that she wrote about Yellowstone. We had traveled there about two years ago but we were there with two little ones. I particularly liked reading the similarities and the differences from both of our trips.
Driving Lessons Give New Meaning to Travels with Teens – I liked this because I can’t remember where we were going, but I remember that feeling when we went on an extended trip and I (with a brand new license!) finally got to drive the family for a little while.
Best Trips – This page has a list of the recommended best trips with teens. There are some great vacation spots!
As part of Travel Blogger Tuesday, leave your own one favorite blog link! I can’t get into Simply Linked right now because of password issues, so we are going to try Mr. Linky!
